Until recently, no one had heard the Russian Tsar Bell calling, which split right after it was cast, due to a technology violation. And so, almost three centuries later, thanks to Greg Niemeyer, professor at the University of Berkeley, we finally learn his sound.

With the help of theoretical modeling, the scientist calculated what sound a huge bell would now produce if it had not split. To do this, Niemeyer had to evaluate the degree of deformation from the impact of the language using the finite element method (the mechanics section of the solid deformed body), and also to calculate the individual segments of the bell in order to understand what sound waves were generated in the air.

When the calculations were completed, Niemeyer and his team installed a steel frame on the university grounds with speakers. This was the first demonstration of the sound of the bell, which merged in a single choir with 23 real bells located in the bell tower of the university.
